We are perpetually blessed with an opportunity for bringing positive changes and daily improvements for the needy children in Myanmar. As we embark the beginning of the New Year in 2017, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our friends, partner-donors and business sponsors for their continued support and patronage over 17 years of devotion since the start of our charity fund campaign in 2001.
Please allow me to share briefly about the achievements from last year. We successfully raised funds for 25 needy children who are groomed and sheltered by the “Sacred Heart Church” in Sittwe, Rakhine State, Myanmar. Our mandate put us in charge to assist these disadvantaged children. The donated funds reserved for the Sacred Heart Church were used for repairing torn fences guarding the compound as well as for the educational needs. We worked effortlessly to ensure the donations received will bring concrete results to these orphan organizations alike.

Our 2017 program is bold and ambitious. We will focus on encouraging the first batch of three hopeful candidates for the ‘High school Diploma’ program. Our staff volunteering team have put a lot of time and energy to deliver what we believe will represent as a significant milestone for our young aspirant candidates. With the necessary tools and support systems in place, the children are given higher chances to graduate from the government mandated high school. The goal is total empowerment for the orphans to advance themselves in all aspects. The foundation will commit financial assistance for their last three years in high school. We will be monitoring the candidates’ progress so that they can continue to perform well even after receiving their high school diploma.

My fellow board members, and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers from San Francisco Bay Area and Yangon project team for making a world of difference every year. We will work swiftly and aggressively to address the pressing needs in the Myanmar orphan community. We will continue to be the voice and ears for these forgotten children.
